Edgewood Tahoe spends one week every July turning into the busiest lakefront address on the South Shore. The American Century Championship runs July 8 to 12 this year, and it is the kind of week that fills restaurants, roads, and plenty of South Shore dinner conversations.
The American Century Championship pairs competitive golf with a field of sports and entertainment personalities, all played out on Edgewood's lakefront course. Wednesday and Thursday cover practice and celebrity-am rounds, then tournament play runs Friday through Sunday with the leaderboard tightening up as the week goes on.
It's a rare chance to watch recognizable names play a real round of golf up close from the spectator areas, with Lake Tahoe as the backdrop on nearly every hole.

Practical Notes
Edgewood Tahoe operates on a ticketed-access basis during tournament week, so this isn't a normal walk-up day at the course.
